GLG Life Tech Limited has announced the consolidation of its common shares on a three old for one new basis, and a name change to GLG Life Tech Corporation. The share consolidation and name change will be effected at 12:01 am on March 14, 2007. There are currently approximately 151 million common shares outstanding. The consolidation will reduce the number of shares outstanding to approximately 50.3 million.

The common shares of GLG Life Tech Corporation will begin trading on a consolidated basis on Wednesday, March 14, 2007.
