Pure Trading Extends Testing Period

Pure Trading to Extend Testing Period

TORONTO, February 26, 2007 – Pure Trading announced today that it will extend its testing period for order entry and order management following the results of industry wide testing that took place Saturday, February 24. Due to a number of issues related to retransmission procedures, no meaningful capacity testing was conducted on that day. As a result of the extension of testing, the launch date has been postponed and will be announced shortly, following consultation with market participants.

Throughout the course of the implementation of the Pure Trading marketplace, our customers have made it clear that completion of industry-wide production testing is essential to a successful launch. That remains our firm goal.

The extension will allow Pure Trading and its customers and vendors to address the specific issues raised during the testing process. Pure Trading will follow up with vendors and dealers to address the remaining outstanding systems issues, and to schedule further opportunities to test the system. A revised schedule of testing dates will be provided as soon as it is available.

Based on the performance metrics experienced to date during both internal and external tests, the Pure Trading team is certain that the X-stream system will deliver the promised throughput and capacity in a production setting. In the meantime, we look forward to working with our customers each day as they test with our Gateway Test Environment, and continue to encourage dealers to take advantage of Pure Trading?s free cross printing marketplace facility.
