BacTech Environmental Corporation was created as a result of the BacTech Mining Corporation Plan of Arrangement in December 2010. The Company uses its patented BACOX bioleaching technology to process toxic, arsenic-laden mine tailings. Bioleaching, in addition to stabilizing arsenic, oxidizes sulphides, thereby eliminating a major source of acid mine drainage, while also recovering precious and base metals from tailings for sale to market.
