Sona Nanotech Inc. is a nanotechnology life sciences company developing Targeted Hyperthermia Therapy™, a photothermal cancer treatment for solid tumors. The therapy uses Sona’s proprietary gold nanorods, which absorb infrared light and convert it into therapeutic heat within tumors, with the objective of damaging cancer cells and enhancing the effectiveness of other cancer treatments. Sona has developed proprietary methods for manufacturing gold nanoparticles, including CTAB-free gold nanorods, for potential use in cancer therapies, diagnostics and other medical applications.
